Designed to make the most of every inch of space, the DOLPHIN offers a surprisingly spacious cabin with comfortable seating for up to five adults. It also comes generously equipped with advanced technology, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Intelligent Cruise Control, and a 360-degree camera system, ensuring every journey is connected, convenient, and enjoyable.

DESIGN

COMPACT & SLEEK

The BYD DOLPHIN features a refined, modern exterior characterised by fluid lines and sculpted curves that create a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Its compact hatchback form is both efficient and practical, while subtle detailing along the bodywork enhances its smooth, rounded profile.

A long 2.70 m wheelbase helps maximise interior space, ensuring generous comfort for both front and rear passengers. Completing the design, standard 16-inch alloy wheels can be upgraded to 17-inch variants, adding a more dynamic, sporty presence to its overall look.

SAFETY

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

The BYD DOLPHIN sets a high benchmark for safety in the electric vehicle segment, offering a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems as standard. Recognised for its strong safety credentials, every model is equipped with a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) to support safer, more confident driving.

Further enhancing protection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RTCB) use millimetre-wave radar technology to monitor approaching vehicles and pedestrians when reversing. If a potential collision is detected, the system issues warnings and can automatically apply the brakes, underscoring the DOLPHIN’s strong focus on occupant and pedestrian safety.

Built on the advanced BYD e-Platform 3.0, purpose-designed for pure electric vehicles, the BYD DOLPHIN benefits from a foundation that enhances intelligence, efficiency, safety, and overall design. This sophisticated architecture enables a well-balanced exterior, with short front and rear overhangs paired with an extended wheelbase to deliver both dynamic styling and everyday practicality.

Inside, the platform translates into a more spacious rear cabin with a flat floor, maximising comfort and legroom for all passengers, including added space for the centre rear seat occupant.

The BYD DOLPHIN is powered by the advanced Blade Battery, a benchmark in EV safety, durability, and performance with a proven track record spanning over 28 years. Utilising lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, it avoids the use of scarce materials such as nickel and cobalt, offering a safer and more sustainable energy solution while maintaining outstanding reliability.

Its 60 kWh LFP Blade Battery delivers a driving range of up to 427 km on a single charge, combining efficiency with everyday usability. For charging convenience, it supports 11 kW AC charging for a full recharge in approximately 8 hours, as well as 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 30% to 80% top-up in just 29 minutes.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

The BYD DOLPHIN comes equipped as standard with an advanced heat pump system designed to maximise energy efficiency and extend driving range. By intelligently recovering residual heat from the powertrain, cabin, and battery system, it delivers more effective thermal management while minimising energy loss.

Optimised for performance in all weather conditions, this smart system helps maintain comfort inside the cabin while supporting improved efficiency and range, whatever the temperature outside.
