DESIGN

OCEAN-INSPIRED

The BYD SEAL U is an eco-conscious PHEV SUV that fuses ocean-inspired design cues with a modern, futuristic aesthetic. Its distinctive double U-shaped headlights not only define its bold front profile but also enhance illumination for improved visibility. At the rear, a continuous LED taillight with a water-drop matrix effect creates a striking, cohesive light signature.

Finishing the design, 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels add a sporty edge while helping to reduce drag, contributing to greater efficiency and a smoother, more refined driving experience.

INTERIOR

A FUTURE-FIRST INTERIOR

The BYD SEAL U’s interior adopts a futuristic layout, centred on a floating centre console and a large rotatable touchscreen that delivers seamless, intuitive connectivity. ‘Hi BYD’ voice control and thoughtfully placed function buttons make key features easy to access, while ocean-inspired design touches such as a crystal-style gear lever add a distinctive sense of sophistication.

Comfort is prioritised throughout, with multifunctional seats offering heating, ventilation, and memory functions for a tailored driving experience. A panoramic sunroof enhances the sense of space by filling the cabin with natural light, while advanced NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) engineering ensures a quiet, composed ride. Ambient lighting and a premium audio system further elevate the atmosphere, complemented by a head-up display that keeps key driving information in view. With generous rear-seat space and a flexible boot capacity expanding up to 1,440 litres, the SEAL U delivers an ideal balance of comfort and everyday practicality for longer journeys.

At the heart of the all-new SEAL U lies BYD’s Super DM Technology, a breakthrough in plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engineering. Developed exclusively by BYD, this intelligent Dual Mode system is designed to improve energy efficiency, lower fuel consumption, and deliver a more balanced blend of performance and comfort.

All BYD plug-in hybrid models feature the “DM” designation, with the “i” in DM-i representing intelligent, efficiency-focused driving, as showcased in the SEAL U.

The BYD SEAL U delivers a refined and eco-conscious driving experience, pairing strong energy efficiency and low fuel consumption with smooth, responsive acceleration and a quiet, comfortable ride.

With a fuel consumption figure of just 6.4 L/100 km, more than 70 km of pure electric range, and a combined driving range of up to 1,080 km, it is designed for both everyday efficiency and long-distance confidence. When equipped with AWD, it also offers impressive performance, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.

SAFETY

ENHANCED SAFETY AS STANDARD

Awarded a Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating, the SEAL U Super Hybrid is engineered with a strong focus on protection and driver confidence. Its Blind Spot Detection system helps alert you to rapidly approaching vehicles in adjacent lanes, improving awareness in busy traffic conditions.

Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), which combines Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Lane Centering Control (LCC), manages both speed and steering assistance at speeds from 0 to 120 km/h, delivering a more relaxed and comfortable driving experience. When reversing, rear-mounted millimetre-wave radar constantly monitors the area behind the vehicle, providing timely warnings and, if necessary, automatically applying the brakes to help reduce the risk of collisions.

FAST CHARGING

RECHARGE IN JUST 35 MINUTES

Experience fast and convenient charging with the BYD SEAL U Super Hybrid. This plug-in hybrid SUV supports 18 kW DC fast charging, enabling the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes, helping you minimise downtime and spend more time on the road.

SMART ACCESS

CONTROL AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

The BYD SEAL U offers the convenience of NFC keyless entry, allowing you to unlock and access the vehicle with ease. It also enables remote air conditioning control via your smartphone, so you can pre-condition the cabin before you even step inside, ensuring a comfortable start to every journey.
